Hello to a blustery weekend

So this week has been interesting. Our little survey and video seem to have entertained you a little! I’m trying not to peek at your responses because I think it would be better to read them all at once but I just can’t help myself. You chaps are rather lovely, aren’t you!

Last Saturday I muttered on about little things that were on my mind. You didn’t seem to dislike that. So shall I continue this weekend. Oh go on then!

♠ These two pictures via Buzzfeed make me incredibly happy. I hope they are all true. Do look at the rest of the images though. Thinking about those selfless Japanese ladies and gents makes me well up.

♠ I’ve recently gone from two pillows to one in bed. I’ve always been a two pillow kinda gal. This is weird and exciting for me. Am I alone in my weird one pillow nocturnal fun?

♠ I shall be trialling this scone recipe today in anticipation of having lovely friends over for lunch tomorrow. There may be pictures. Are you a Devonian or Cornish scone eater?

♠ Bean is sad his Warrior Dash was cancelled but is happy to inform me that he shall be partaking in the Spartan Race.

♠ Reading the Telegraph magazine today made me far too happy. There is an 101 year old lady who plays competitive table tennis and has a devastating backhand. (The Aung San Suu Kyi story not so much. And yes sorry we read the telegraph on a Saturday, the crossword is excellent!)

♠ Bean and I are thinking we might try and make our video posts a regular feature. What do you think?  Or is one episode of our faces being piped into your home enough?

♠ Tomorrow evening I am off to Dorset to see my Grandmamma for her birthday. Hopefully it will be sunny and I can take her toyboy’s dog for a walk on the beach. (The secret beach that only the locals know about – I like that beach. It’s got a name that makes me think of clever people.  A beach where I spent most of my holidays as a youngster.)
