Wedding Cake Fun

A few weeks ago I was invited to GC Couture in Hatch End for a little afternoon tea. I arrived a teensy bit drenched but with a serious appetite! Luckily there were a few cakes!

At GC Couture you are in charge. The possibilities are nearly endless.

There are so many combinations from Lime and Coconut to Oreo to the signature fruitcake without the bits. A delicious compromise when your mother “needs” a fruitcake for it is incredibly traditional but you aren’t a super fan. It really does taste good!

Indeed if you have a flavour combination that you fancy but is not yet available, have a word in Marie’s ear and perhaps they can make it work! My suggestion was Earl Grey or perhaps Elderflower.

Twas a lovely afternoon of cake and other noms shared with Meryl of Homegrown Bride and Zania of Alice in Wonderland overseen by the lovely Nicola of Propose PR.

We were filmed by the ever lovely Victoria Grech with the images below taken by Olivia Shaw. You really should check out their portfolios. Just wonderful.

I do love the lace effect and the cameo on this cake. So pretty.

Who knew I was a Malibu gal. I’m not even sure I’ve ever partaken in a Malibu based drink. Little bit embarrassed by that. Can I pretend I love the lime and coconut sponge more?

Marie, she loves her cakes. She cares about her cakes.

Sach, the man knows how to schmooze!

So many varieties, so many decorations.

The only picture of me you’ll see! We did come away with a rather sweet goodie bag thanks to the lovely people of  William Clarke Flowers and the Savoy.

Thank you for a lovely afternoon GC Couture. You know where I am, feel free to send lime and coconut any day!
