Oh hello cuteness from the rather lovely Emma Lucy Photography. I want to twirl on the pavement with Bean now (well it’s not as if I’ve not done it before – I do like a good twirl – but perhaps we need to set up a camera in our kitchen?!)
When Emma sent me a few images from this shoot I squealed. Actual squeals. Yay for animated gifs of joy with the additional bonus of the love. Kate and Bentley love each other so. They are living over here at the moment but are another pair saying au revoir to London to embark the next stage of their life together.
I’ll let Emma tell you some more!
“Blackheath has a special place in Kate and Bentley’s heart – it was the first place they lived when they arrived in London and they loved the back streets and alleys. They also told me you could get the best gelato there – I was sold! So, I met them both at Cutty Sark one windy Saturday and we caught a bus up to Blackheath where I had them show me around. They weren’t wrong about that gelato! (Anna note – I think we all need to know about this gelato)
I almost squeed at their outfits – how cool do they look? Kate was rocking that dress from JOY. The next day Kate sent me a beautiful email to say they had a wonderful day and I’d created some new, wonderful memories of their time in London. That’s a testament to these two – expressive, kind and fun and though it’s shame I can’t be with them on their big day, I’m so glad they booked me for a session – it was an absolute pleasure to spend time with them.”
Aww, I heart Emma. She is so enthusiastic and well nice. She takes such beautiful images. I know Kate and Bentley will cherish these forever.

Eeek the cuteness. I may have to see if I can make any of our wedding photos into a gif of joy?!
I think we all need a gif of joy!
Please send me your gifs of joy. I have one from my wedding – not of me – but it is joyous. Shall I post it tomorrow?
I think we all need a gifday of joy.

Fab shoot. Also loving your enthusiasm for the gif, Anna! Yes have a gif day!
As if this wasn’t lovely enough, it’s in our stomping ground, Blackheath!! LOVE IT! Am about to forward to my husband who sighs every time we walk past the gorgeous big houses on Shooters Hill Road and says ‘can you please buy me one.’ I will be asking him to buy me a frock from Joy in return.
[...] yesterday I showed you the cutest animated gifs from the lovely Emma Lucy [...]
An engagement gif…? Brilliant! x
I thought that island looked familiar. Yeah for a little South London gem!!!
This shoot really caught my eye, absolutely love it! Really lovely to see others enjoying the quirkiness of South East London!
Sweet photos – love London (though Blackheath is too south to be my hood!)
But I particularly love a good gif :) I got kind of obsessed with making them when our kiddo was born and I found a how to tutorial for CS5.. In fact, the dude is enforcing a gif moratorium for the time being. But there will doubtless be a few come August and our wedding.
Awesome.
