It’s been a while since we talked beauty on the blog.
I would love to hear from you about your beauty victories and problems. You know we have a crack a-team to help answer your questions!
Anyhoo, gold seems to be the colour of next season. It’s been slowly making it’s off the catwalk and into my make-up bag. First onto my nails and sneakily via my eyeliner. Indeed a have a very dull gold eyeliner from Stila which I adore.
So how do you translate catwalk style to your daily style or even your bridal style?
I love these relatively subtle looks with a nod to gold. They are beautiful yet with a fashion edge. The gold just enhances the eye and makes it “pop” (for want of a better word!).

I guess glitter could be a little dangerous to those of us who wear contact lenses but I really want to go a little glitter crazy at a Christmas party! Would you?

Or you could go all out and fall in love with gold leaf. Oh the deliciousness. Seriously, I adore these looks. I wish I were brave enough. Particularly the golden eyebrow! Yes this is an incredibly bold look but gold leaf can be used far more subtly, just a few flakes in the corner or edge of your eye. Perfection.

Not gold, but heavenly.

So are you a golden girl?
For more pretty eyes, do check out my pinterest page. I think I will need to bit of culling. Why can people not attribute images correctly?! Also, why doesn’t reversing the image search ever really find the correct source.

Oh, these are all delicious. I’m going for my make up trial tomorrow, and with a gold an sequinned wedding planned for 6 weeks time (yikes!) I may just print out this page and take it along for inspiration. I am hugely taken by the black flicks with the gold outline. Loveliness.
(And glittery nails are a must, obviously)
Happy to have you back. I’ve enjoyed your words especially this week
