The Weekend

This weekend we said goodbye to Bertie.

This post has been very difficult to write.

He was a good cat who must have gone through lots in the past. I am glad we were able to give him a life outside a cage.

We sat out in the sunshine on Friday morning. There were gentle hugs and nibbles of chicken.

He was so brave on Friday afternoon. I was so proud of him.

Both Bean and I will miss him so very much.

Thank you so much for all your messages. You are all so kind. They have helped.

He may only have been a cat and he may have only been in our life for a few months but he was our boy.

Rest in peace, little one.
